Wander into A La Morte Subite and you could easily have been transported back 100 years. It’s name, ‘Sudden Death’, derives from the brewery that supplies the beer (the prices of which are chalked up on monster mirrors). The uniformed waiters dart between close-together tables serving any of a hundred beers, plates of sausages and cheese, while looking grumpy and aloof in true Belgian style. This classic bar is often packed but it’s well-sorth braving the hustle and bustle. More here.
